5.2 LABEL FEED ROLLER ADJUSTMENT
The gap between the two feed rollers can be adjusted to compensate for different
material or thickness of label web. Check that the grip provided by the label feed
rollers is suitably set and adjust if required as follows:
Switch the machine off and pass a short length of the label web through the feed
rollers by hand. If the web is cut by the serrations then the gap needs to be increased.
If the web can easily be pulled through (slipping) then the gap needs to be decreased.
Eccentric Shaft Adjustment (25279e)
Adjustment to the roller is made by rotating the eccentric spindle of the “free”
serrated roller as follows:-
1. Remove top guard from roller housing.
2. Screw a bolt into the eccentric shaft A and lock in place with lock nut.
3. Loosen bottom screw located under the head plate.
4. The top screw can now be adjusted to suite web thickness.
5. Retighten bottom.
6. Remove the bolt from the eccentric shaft.
7. Replace guard assembly.
