Low Flow Oxygen Blending Bag
Clean and disinfect between patients and as needed while in use,
refer to the manufacturer’s instructions provided with the blending
bag.
Disassembly from the HT70 ventilator: Remove the Oxygen Blending
Bag from the HT70 Fresh Gas Intake port. Disconnect the oxygen
tubing and slide the latex free bag off its fitting.
General Cleaning Instructions: Wash the outside of the latex free bag
and the plastic parts (without taking them apart) using a soft brush.
Rinse thoroughly with sterile, distilled water. Shake off excess water
and place all parts on a clean towel to air dry. (Do not heat or blow
dry.) Always follow instructions as provided by the manufacturer.
Caution: Avoid touching the rubber valves that are inserted in the
plastic body. Do not attempt to clean the inside of the latex free bag –
keep it dry.
Disinfect: Refer to the instructions provided by the blending bag
manufacturer.
Air/Oxygen Entrainment Mixer*
Between patients and as needed while in use, the exterior of the
mixer* and attached hose should be wiped clean with a cloth
dampened with a medical detergent, disinfectant or alcohol based
cleaning solution.
Reusable Breathing Circuits
The HT70 ventilator may be used with a standard single limb or “J”
style breathing circuit with a quality exhalation valve.
Reusable breathing circuits are generally provided in clean, but not
sterile, condition. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to clean and/
or disinfect a circuit prior to use.
WARNING Do not use electrically conductive breathing circuits.
Always use clean and dry breathing circuits.
