N The Retouch Menu:
Creating Retouched Copies
To display the retouch menu, press G and select the N (retouch
menu) tab.
The options in the retouch menu are used to create trimmed, or
retouched copies of existing pictures.
The retouch menu is only
displayed when a memory card containing photographs other
than small NEF (RAW) images is inserted in the camera.
1 Can only be selected by pressing G and selecting N tab.
2 Can only be displayed by holding J and pressing 2 in full-frame playback
when a retouched image or original is displayed.

D Small NEF (RAW) + JPEG Images
If the JPEG copies of small NEF (RAW) images taken at image quality
settings of NEF (RAW) + JPEG are recorded to the same memory card
(0 96), neither the NEF (RAW) images nor the JPEG copies can be
edited.
