1.2.6 Definition of Tool Wear Offsets
At any time (even during machining), the operator can enter tool wear offsets when he observes a difference between
the expected and the actual results on a part.
The offsets (positive or negative) compensate for slight dimensional variations of the tool or part (wear, expansion).
Tool radius wear offset = DR
Tool length wear offset = DL

DL = -∆H
The system takes into account the corrected tool dimensions:
Corrected radius = R + DR
Corrected length = L + DL
