What to do if OfiTE Laboratory Equipment will not build pressure?
    • B
      billysmithAug 20, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not building pressure, there could be several reasons. First, ensure the cell cap o-ring isn't leaking and replace it if necessary. Check all fittings for leaks and tighten any loose connections. Other potential causes include a broken pump (not cycling or constantly cycling, in this case it should be replaced), a blown rupture disk (needs replacement), an open pressure release valve (close it completely), or the Fill/Drain Cell switch being set to Drain (switch it to Fill). Also, check the oil level in the reservoir and add oil if needed. Make sure air is properly supplied to the unit, empty any water from the air filter, or consider replacing the air solenoid if it is damaged.

Why OfiTE Laboratory Equipment will not hold pressure?
    • M
      Mr. Richard LynnAug 22, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not holding pressure, it may be due to a few reasons. First, check the cell cap o-ring for leaks and replace it if needed. Next, inspect all the fittings for leaks and tighten any loose connections. Also, the pressure release valve (PRV) could be damaged and require replacement. Finally, ensure there is enough oil in the reservoir and add more if necessary.

What to do if OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is overheating?
    • B
      Brian SimpsonAug 25, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is overheating, there are a few potential causes. Ensure the thermocouple is fully plugged in and the connections are secure. If the thermocouple assembly is damaged, it will need to be replaced. A bad Solid State Relay (SSR) can also cause overheating, in that case contact OFITE to replace the SSR.

Why OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not heating?
    • S
      susan53Aug 26, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not heating, verify that the heater switch is turned on. Also, check if the heater circuit breaker has tripped and reset it if necessary. If the Solid State Relay (SSR) is defective, contact OFITE to arrange for a replacement. Also, the heater will not turn on if the unit is running on battery backup.

How to fix too much pressure in OfiTE Laboratory Equipment?
    • K
      Karen AguirreAug 28, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is applying too much pressure, the high-pressure relief coil might be clogged. Try removing the coil and cleaning it with Nitrogen (1,500 - 2,000 psi). Another possible cause is a leaking or damaged air-operated valve; contact OFITE to replace the valve. Also, the pressure relief valve regulator may not be properly set; adjust the regulator to the appropriate value.

What to do if OfiTE Laboratory Equipment temperature is cycling uncontrollably?
    • T
      Terry PhillipsAug 29, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not able to maintain temperature, or the temperature is cycling uncontrollably, first turn off the cooling water if it is on. Next, ensure the thermocouple is properly plugged in. Also, make sure the slurry cup paddle sits correctly on the pivot bearing. Finally, check for any pressure fluctuations or leaks.

How to troubleshoot no power to OfiTE Laboratory Equipment?
    • C
      Cathy GomezAug 31, 2025
If there is no power to your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment, first, ensure the main power cord is firmly plugged into both the wall and the machine. If it's still not working, check the main circuit breaker and reset it if it has tripped.

Why OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not cooling?
    • C
      Christopher GardnerSep 2, 2025
If your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment is not cooling, ensure that the cooling water is switched on at the source. If the issue persists, the cooling solid-state relay may be bad; contact OFITE to replace it.

Why consistency/voltage readings fluctuate on OfiTE Laboratory Equipment?
    • B
      brenda45Sep 4, 2025
If the consistency/voltage readings on your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment fluctuate, first ensure the resistor is level by carefully removing and reinstalling it so the upper edge is flat. If there's excess powder coating on the resistor from the factory, clean the upper and lower edges with an emery cloth. Other potential causes include a short in the contact pin (contact OFITE to replace it), a loose potentiometer shaft (tighten it), or a loose drive bar on the slurry cup (tighten it).

What to do if thermocouple will not fit into slurry cup of OfiTE Laboratory Equipment?
    • C
      Chris CarrollSep 6, 2025
If the thermocouple will not fit into the slurry cup of your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment, check if the thermocouple is bent and straighten it. If the shaft on the slurry cup is bent or damaged, replace it. Additionally, inspect the diaphragm for damage and replace it if necessary.
