  If the consistency/voltage readings are zero on your OfiTE Laboratory Equipment, check that the contact arm is touching the resistor along its entire length. If it is, the resistor wire may be broken and need replacement.

  If your OfiTE Measuring Instruments unit has no power, start by checking that the main power cord is firmly plugged into both the wall and the machine. Also, ensure the battery backup cable is securely plugged into the side of the machine. Inspect the fuse for the main power supply and replace it if it's blown (see 64). Finally, check and reset the main circuit breaker if it has tripped.

  If your OfiTE Measuring Instruments unit is not heating, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure that the heater switch is turned on. If it is on, check the heater circuit breaker and reset it if necessary. Other potential causes include a bad Solid State Relay (SSR), which would require contacting OFITE for replacement, or an issue with the heat assembly. Inspect the wiring to the heat assembly and correct if necessary (Contact OFITE). If the heat assembly is not working, it may need to be replaced (Contact OFITE).

Why is my OfiTE 2025 unit overheating?

  If your OfiTE Measuring Instruments unit is overheating, it could be due to a few reasons. Check that the thermocouple is fully plugged in and that the connections are secure. If the thermocouple assembly is damaged, it should be replaced. Also, verify the temperature ramp profile in the software and/or on the Eurotherm temperature controller. Ensure that the hold light is off by pressing the run/hold button. If the Eurotherm temperature controller is not working, contact OFITE for replacement.

How to fix temperature cycling uncontrollably in OfiTE 2025?

  If your OfiTE Measuring Instruments unit is not able to maintain temperature or the temperature is cycling uncontrollably, first, ensure that the coolant water is turned off. Next, check that the thermocouple is properly plugged in. If it is, verify the thermocouple wires have not been reversed, and switch them if necessary.
