Symptom Cause Remedy
Pressure (Continued)
The regulator (black
valve) is leaking.
The mag drive shaft o-ring
is leaking.
The heater element seal
is leaking.
Replace the regulator.
Replace the mag drive shaft o-ring
(Contact OFITE).
Replace the heater element seal
(Contact OFITE).
The unit will
not build
pressure
The cell cap o-ring is leaking.
There is a leak at one of
the ttings.
The regulator (black
valve) is leaking.
The pump is broken (not
cycling, constantly cycling).
The Rupture Disk is blown.
Pressure Release Valve
is open.
The Air To Cylinder switch
is on.
Cylinder Switch is in the
“Off” or “Drain” Position.
Replace the cell cap o-ring.
Trace the tubing and tighten the
leaking connection.
Replace the regulator.
Replace the pump.
Replace the Rupture Disk see page 47.
Completely close the Pressure
Release Valve.
Switch it to “Off”.
Switch it to “Fill”.
Potentiometer
The
consistency/
voltage
readings
uctuate.
The resistor is not level.
The resistor has excess
powder coating from the
factory.
Carefully remove and reinstall the
resistor so that the upper edge is at
and level.
Use an emery cloth to clean the upper
and lower edge of the resistor.
The
consistency/
voltage
readings are
zero
The contact arm is not
touching the resistor.
The resistor wire is broken.
Check the contact arm to ensure that
it contacts the entire length of the
resistor. Bend the arm if necessary.
Replace the resistor wire.
The
potentiometer
will not hold
calibration.
The potentiometer spring
is damaged or worn out.
Replace the potentiometer spring.
