11 REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Before any maintenance or cleaning, disconnect the
device from the power supply.
Failure to follow these instructions may cause
electrical shock, serious injury or death.
11.1 Cleaning/Replacing the filter
To ensure effective internal air filtration and correct operation of your
climate control unit, it is necessary to periodically clean the air filter.
When it is time to perform this important maintenance task, it will be
indicated after the corresponding period of operation, by “FS” appearing
on the control panel display.
– Turn off the climate control unit and then remove the filter from the
unit (Cf. 9.1 Filter removal on p. 31)
– Wash the filter with water directed in the direction opposite the
accumulation of dust.
– If there is dirt that is difficult to remove (adhered or incrustations of
another type), submerge the filter in water and mild detergent
solution.
– If the filter is damaged, replace it.
– Correctly reinstall the filter in place.
– Remove any lint from the grille.
11.2 Maintenance
If you do not plan to use the unit for a long period, do the following:
– Activate the fan only mode for several hours (approx. 1-2 hours) to
dry the inside of the unit.
– Shut off the unit and disconnect power.
– Clean the air filter.
– Remove all the condensate water.
– Remove the batteries from the remote control.
Inspection before resuming use of the unit:
– After a long period of inactivity, clean the filters in the climate control
unit.
– Check that the air intake and outlet are not blocked (especially after a
long period of not using the unit).
