The M24 Personal Computer
is
intended for professional use
as
a
problem-solving tool. The system, whether stand-alone or included
in
a
communications network, has
the
versatility
and
computing
power
to
help
the
businessman, the scientist, the student,
and
the technician
to
process
information quickly, accurately, and intelligently.
The system supports four operating systems:
• MS-DOS
• Concurrent CP/M-86
• PCOS
• UCSD p-System
As
a result,
an
extremely wide range of personal computer application
packages can
be
used on the system.
The flexibility of the system
is
further enhanced by the wide range of
programming languages it supports, including:
• BASIC Interpreter and BASIC Compiler
• COBOL
• Pascal
• FORTRAN
• C Language
• Assembler
Programmers can thus select the most appropriate language for solv-
ing their data processing problems, while users new to computing can
develop their skills
in
a variety of disciplines.
The flexibility of the system's software is matched by its hardware.
Memory capacity starts at 128K bytes and can
be
expanded to 640K
bytes.
