      If an HF instrument is connected to the UNIVERSAL socket and the electrosurgical generator does not recognize the connected HF instrument, check the Olympus HF instrument plug for correct connection. Also, confirm the use of an Olympus HF instrument with HF instrument recognition capabilities and replace the Olympus HF instrument and/or the connection cable if damaged. If the issue persists, contact Olympus.
