Cause and
correction
Assumed cause Correction Prevention
(1) The inverter’s ambient tem-
perature exceeds the specified
range.
Measure the ambient tempera-
ture.
→ Lower the ambient tempera-
ture, for example, by improving
the ventilation in the panel.
Examine the ambient tempera-
ture of the inverter and provide
the necessary cooling.
(2) The cooling air passage is
blocked.
Check if the installation space is
secured.
→ Reinstall the inverter in a loca-
tion where a suf
ficient installation
space can be secured.
Check if the fins are clogged.
→ Clean the fins.
Install the inverter in a location
where a sufficient installation
space can be secured. Do not
use the product in an area sur-
rounded by excessive foreign
matter
. Also, do not allow foreign
matter to enter.
(3) The flow volume of the cool-
ing fan dropped because it
reached the end of life or failed.
Check the cumulative run time of
the cooling fan.
→ Replace the cooling fan.
Visually check if the cooling fan
is operating normally
.
→ Replace the cooling fan.
None
(4) The load is large. Measure the output current.
→ Reduce the load. (Use
Cooling Fin Overheat Warning
(T
erminal [DI] function
selection) (3005-02 to 06 hex)
and 1st Overload Early
Warning Detection Level
(3005-26 hex), 2nd Overload
Warning Detection Level
(3005-38 hex), and Overload
early warning 2 Level (3005-23
hex) to reduce the load before
overloading occurs.)
→ Lower the value of Carrier
Frequency (3004-1B hex).
→ Enable the setting of
Overload prevention control
(3008-47 hex).
Select a motor and an inverter
according to the load.
