Cause and
correction
Assumed cause Correction Prevention
(1) The braking load is large. Recalculate the relationship be-
tween the braking load and the
capacity
.
→ Reduce the braking load.
→ Review the braking resistor
selection and increase the ca-
pacity (in
Electronic thermal
overload protection for
braking resistor (3004-33 to 35
hex)).
Calculate the relationship be-
tween the braking load and the
capacity, and select an appropri-
ate braking resistor.
(2) The deceleration time is too
short.
Recalculate the required torque
based on the load’s moment of
inertia and deceleration time.
→ Increase the values of
1st
Deceleration Time 1 (3004-09
hex), 2nd Deceleration Time 1
(3005-0C hex), 1st Deceleration
Time 2 (3005-0E hex), and 2nd
Deceleration Time 2 (3005-10
hex).
→ Review the braking resistor
selection and increase the ca-
pacity. (It is also required to set
data again in Electronic thermal
overload protection for
braking resistor (3004-33 to 35
hex)).
Set the acceleration/deceleration
time as long as possible to re-
duce the load. Or set a longer
stop time to reduce the load.
(3) There is an incorrect setting
in Electronic thermal overload
protection for braking resistor
(3004-33 to 35 hex).
Recheck the specifications of the
braking resistor. T
o use an op-
tional braking resistor in a brak-
ing resistor built-in model (7.5
kW or less), check if the electron-
ic thermal settings for the braking
resistor are changed.
→ Review and change the val-
ues of Electronic thermal
overload protection for
braking resistor (3004-33 to 35
hex).
Consider and set the values of
Electronic thermal overload
protection for braking resistor
(3004-33 to 35 hex) appropriate-
ly.
