Adjustment
item
Motor rotating
Rotation is un-
stable.
If the motor rotation is unstable during startup, in-
crease the motor starting current.
However, setting this parameter to an excessively
large value may cause detection of an overload.
Check the value in the monitor of electronic ther-
mal overload protection for motor (monitor mode:
5_62).

Overcurrent protection
PM motors must set with an allowable current value for preventing the permanent magnet from be-
coming demagnetized. If a current exceeding this allowable current value is allowed to pass, the mag-
netic force of the permanent magnet weakens and the desired motor characteristics can no longer be
obtained.
When a current of current value set in 1st PM Motor Overcurrent Protection Level (3007Hex-5BHex) or
higher flows, overcurrent protection alarms (alarm code: 01, 02, 03) are output to protect the motor.

High-efficiency Control
In the operation of PM motors, motor parameters are used to perform high-efficiency control. Opera-
tion of a PM motor with the motor parameters unknown or in a state where rotation tuning cannot be
performed is sometimes possible by disabling high-ef
ficiency control.
T
o disable high-efficiency control, set PM Motor High-efficiency Control Selection (3014Hex-5AHex) to
0.
