Controlling PT Operations with Interlock Bits
Use this method to enable and disable PT operations from the host. PT opera-
tions that can be controlled include touch switch operations, numeric inputs,
character string inputs, and recipe data editing. Operations are controlled indi-
vidually.
Touch switch

(Disabled.)

(Enabled.)
CIO 010015 is OFF.
CIO 010011 is ON.

When creating a screen with the Support Tool, set the interlock function for the
desired touch switch, numeral input field, thumbwheel switch, character string
input field, or recipe object and allocate an interlock bit in the host.
Turn the corresponding interlock bit ON or OFF to enable or disable a touch
switch, numeral input, character string input, or recipe data editing.
Interlock bit OFF: Disable switch or input.
Interlock bit ON: Enable switch or input.
Reference: The PT continuously reads the status of the corresponding interlock bit while the
switch or input that uses the interlock function is being displayed on the screen. if
the interlock bit’s status changes, the switch or input’s operation is disabled or
enabled according to the interlock bit’s status.
