PT Symptoms RemedyCause
A numeral/text display is
not displayed correctly,
nothing is displayed for a
text display, or a message
is not displayed for an
l li t/hi t
Since the memory table entry is
allocated words in the host, the
display is updated in accordance
with the contents of the host
memory.
When the contents of the memory table entry are
set as a fixed value, do not allocate words for the
memory table entry in the host.

The battery voltage has dropped and
the data in the memory table has
been destroyed. (Applies to NT21
only when optional Battery is used.)
Replace the battery and execute memory table
initialization. (Refer to Initializing the Memory Tables
and Replacing the Battery in sections 6 and 7
respectively in the Setup Manual.)
Since ON is set for the resume
function, the initial values of the
screen data memory are not written
to the memory tables. (Applies to
NT21 only when optional Battery is
used.)
Execute memory table initialization. (Refer to
Initializing the Memory Tables in section 6 in the
Setup Manual.)
If the resume function does not need to be used,
use the PT with the resume function OFF. (Refer to
Setting the Resume Function in section 6 in the
Setup Manual.)
Two words have been set in a
numeral memory table entry for an
indirect address for a number/text
display.
Set only one word in the numeral memory table
entry.
Updating of numeric
values and text is
delayed.
Malfunction due to external noise Carry out grounding work in accordance with the
conditions. (Refer to Grounding in section 3 in the
Setup Manual.)

There are too many numeral/text
displays on the displayed screen.
Reduce the number of numeral/text displays on the
screen for which updating is delayed.
The cycle time is extended due to
heavy processing at the host.
Shorten the host cycle time.
In an RS-422A/485 connection,
there is illegal branching or an
erroneous terminator setting.
Wire correctly. (Refer to section 5 in the Setup
Manual.)
Some of the elements

Menu to Enabled. (Refer to Section 6 of the Setup
Manual.)
