Scanning performance may decline if dirt or scratches mar the optical window. Keep the
optical window clean.

7.3. Scan Area and Resolution
7.3.1. Depth of Field
The depth of field is measured from the edge of the scanner. The scanning range is
within the circular arc centered on the scan origin.
