Understanding the meaning of the above error messages may help in
troubleshooting PULSAR
2
malfunctions.
• Err 01: Serial comunication fault
The User interface software checks the correct serial communication
between the 391130 PC board that controls the graphic interface and
the 393200 Control board controlling the surgical functions of the
equipment. If this vital communication cannot be estabilished, the Err 1
message is delivered. This could be due to a malfunction of the 393200
or to a missing hardware link between the two boards (detached
connector or wire), referring to the 391000 Wiring diagram, check the
connection 391538 between CN6 of the 391130 and J7 of the 393200.
• Err 02: Low input pressure
This message is generated by the closure of the pressure switch (Fig.4a,
ref.5). The PULSAR2
TM
should be supplied with a pressure in the 5-8 bar
range (72.5-116PSI). If the input pressure goes outside this range (less
than 4.5 or more than 9bar, 65.29-130.6PSI)), Err 2 is delivered. Before
attempting recalibration of the pressure switch and/or of the input main
pressure regulator, verify that the actual value of the air supply
pressure falls in the 5-8 bar (72.5-116PSI) range.
• Err 03: I/A cassette missing
If the alarm is generated when the cassette is cottectly installed and
empty, re-calibrate the sensor position (refer to”TANK FULL ALARM
CALIBRATION”)
• Err 04: Aspiration Halted
This error is generated when there is no reading from the Tank full
Optic sensor (when the internal surface of the cassette is wet at the
level of the sensor, the infra-red beam is not reflected nor read by the
sensor). The aspiration is halted to prevent damages due to fluids
reaching the internal parts of the equipment. The error disappears if
the cassette is replaced.
• Err 08: Diathermy power mismatch
The equipment checks the actual supply voltage to the diathermy final
amplifier against the preset power. If a mismatch is found the error is
generated. This could be due to a defective component in the
347888000 (347150) power supply circuit.
• Err 19: Pressure level error
The value of pressure at the output of the Proportional valve does not
match the value expected. It may depend on a Proportional valve
malfunction or the pressure sensor could be defective/not calibrated.
• Err 26: Diath enable/reading failure,
Err 27: Diathermy enable failure
The PULSAR
2
tests its capability to start/stop diathermy emission both
