1.1 Before you begin
Before you start with the installation, operation, maintenance or troubleshooting on the
Lighting fixture L85EX:
1. Familiarize yourself with the content on this manual.
2. Identify all components of the system. Refer to Appendix A.
1.2 Abbreviations and terminology

Abbreviation / term Description
Cable gland (A device designed to) attach and secure the end of a cable to the
equipment.
Connection The electrical connection to connect components electrically.
Control panel Cabinet with terminals for the connection of electrical wiring and
operating elements for the system.
Cover Flat part that closes the product.
Connection box Compartment where the electrical wiring is collected and is led to
the control panel.
Dome The transparent cover that protects the lamps.
Label Sticker or type plate with information of the system.
Light fixture A light fixture with a transparent or translucent protective dome
Power supply cable Connects the connection box of the light fixture with the
control panel.
Terminal Electrical connection block, inside connection box.
