3 Attaching the Lower Assembly Adapters to the Wheelchair Back
Tubes
1. Determine the diameter of the wheelchair back tubes.
2. The assembly adapters will accommodate 19 mm (3/4"), 22 mm (7/8") und 25 mm (1") back
tubes (Fig. 1). Hold "The Back" in the location it will be installed on the wheelchair and place
a mark on both back tubes to indicate the location for the assembly adapters. (This location
is about 6 mm (1/4") below the rigid back bars.)

Remove the assembly adapters' screw and attach the assembly adapters around the wheel-
chair back tubes as shown in Figure 2.
4. Make sure that the left and right assembly adapters are the same height on the wheelchair
back tubes before tightening.
5. Re-insert the assembly adapters' screws and tighten as shown in Figure 2A, 2C, 2D.
