2.11. STAFF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
For operator safety reasons, PPE (or other available equipment) are compulsory for the
use of the machine.
The manufacturer requires the customer to use the machine with PPE complying with
Directive 89/686 / EEC as amended, relating to personal protective equipment properly
CE marked.
The operator must comply with Directive 89/656 / EEC defi ning the methods of use of
personal protective equipment at work.
Since all contexts where the machine work are not known, it must be underlined that the
above mentioned PPE refer only to the use of the machine: the employer must prescribe
any additional PPE in accordance with the needs of the environment in which the ma-
chine operates.
