You can select from either AVCHD or iFram e
recording formats to record motion pictures
using this unit. (F 54)
AVCHD:
You can record high-definition quality
images with this format. It is suitable for
view ing on a large
format TV or for saving to
disc.
iFram e:
This is a recording format suitable for
playing back or editing on Mac (iMovie’11).
Using iMovie’11, iFram e motion pictures can
be imported faster than AVCHD motion
pictures. Also, the i
m ported file size of
iFram e motion pictures will be sm aller than
that of AVCHD motion pictures.
p It is not com patible with motion picture
recorded in AVCHD format.

w Handling of built-in memory
[HC-V100M ]
This unit is equipped with the built-in
memory. W hen using this com ponent, pay
attention to the follow ing points.
Back up data periodically.
The built-in memory is tem porary storage. In
order to avoid erasing data due to static
elect
ricity, electrom agnetic w aves,
breakage, and failures, back up the data to a
PC or disc. (F 86)
p A ccess lam p [ACCESS] (F 19)
illum inates while the SD card or built-in
memory is being accessed (initialization,
recording, playback,
deleting, etc.). Do not
perform the follow ing operations when the
lam p illum inates. It may dam age the built-
in memory or cause a malfunction in the
unit.
