10.8 Backup/Restore
You can backup all the contents of the scanner's settings to a file. Also, you can restore the settings to the
scanner. You can set a password for this file. It is used for restoring.
To backup the settings
1. Launch Configuration Web.
• For details, refer to "7.1 Launch Configuration Web" (page 62).
2. Open the [Administrator] tab.
3. Click [Backup/Restore].
4. In "Mode", select [Backup].
5. Input a password (0 to 16 characters) for the file.
6. Click [Submit], and save the file according to the browser.
To restore the settings
1. Launch Configuration Web.
• For details, refer to "7.1 Launch Configuration Web" (page 62).
2. Open the [Administrator] tab.
3. Click [Backup/Restore].
4. In "Mode", select [Restore].
5. Input the file name and password.
6. Click [Submit].
