This
function
is
useful
only
your
line
has
a
rotary
pulse
dial
service.
Pressing
the
TONE
(є)
button
will
allow
you
to
change
from
pulse
to
tone
mode
during
a
dialing
operation,
and
enter
special
tones
and
codes
to
operate
answering
machine,
electronic
banking
services
and
other
special
services.
“TONE”
can
be
programmed
into
memory
with
the
telephone
numbers.
Press
the
TONE
(X)
button.
When
you
hang
up,
the
unit
automatically
returns
to
pulse
mode.

can

stored
in
memory
in
the
same
way
as
explained
on
page
1-20
and
1-21.
ePressing
the

counts
as

digit
while
programming.
FLASH
button
The
FLASH
button
is
used
to
access
special
telephone
services
such
as
call
waiting
and
call
forwarding.

If
you
are
having
a
conversation
and
another
party
calls,
you
hear
a
tone.
2.
Press
the
FLASH
button.
The
first
conversation
is
placed
on
hold
and
you
can
answer
the
second
call.
To
speak
to
the
first
caller
again,
press
the
FLASH
button
again.
The
second
caller
is
placed
on
hold.
