Answering
Calls
When
a
call
is
received,
the
unit
rings,
“incoming
call”
and
the
called
line
are
displayed
on
the
unit.
The
called
line
status
icon
on
the
handset
and
the
called
line
button
on
the
base
unit
flash
quickly.
The
line
is
automatically
selected
when
you
answer
the
call.

change
the
line
selection,
see
page
66.)
If
you
subscribe
to
a
Caller
ID
service,
the
calling
party
information
will
be
displayed
after
the
first
ring
(p.
38).
In
order
to
view
the
Caller
ID
information,
please
wait
until
the
second
ring
to
answer
a
call.
With
the
Handset
Lift
the
handset
off
the
base
unit
and
press
[TALK]
.
•The
called
line
status
icon
stops
flashing.
•You
can
also
answer
a
call
by
pressing
any
dialing
button
©
to
(9),
(*}
or
(#}
(—
Any
Key
Talk).
•You
may
answer
a
call
b
y
pressing
the
line
button
instead
of
(TALK)
.
•When
the
ringer
volume
is
set
to
“OFF”,
the
selected
line(s)
will
not
ring

Auto
Talk
If
you
set
the
Auto
Talk
feature
to
ON
(p.
22),
you
can
answer
a
call
by
lifting
the
handset
off
the
base
unit
without
pressing
[TALK)
.
When
the
headset
is
connected
(p.
20),
make
sure
to
use
the
headset
to
talk
with
the
caller.
If
you
want
to
have
a
normal
cordless
phone
conversation,
disconnect
the
headset.
