On ce you have entered the remote code, you can also control your unit
by direct commands instead of using the voice menu To end the remote
operation, hang up anytime
Summary of direct remote operation
1 Select the desired line(s) after entering your remote code
To use the line(s) for which the answering system is already on,
go to step 2
Press ® 0 to select "LINE 1"
Press (#) ( 2 } to select "LINE 2"
Press ® @ to select TINE 1 and LINE 2”
■ The number of new messages on the selected line(s) is heard

Enter the desired direct commands (p 79, BO)
■ If you do not enter any commands, the voice menu will start (p 76)
You can also follow the voice menu to operate the answering syslem
for the line(s) selected in step 1
■ If you want tc operate another line, repeat from step 1

To end remote operation, hang up
■ T he messages are saved
■ The line(s) that can be answered by the answering syslem will nol
change even if you select another line in step 1 To turn on the
answering system for another line, see page BO
■ Do not press (® for a few seconds Some long distance services use {W} for
other purposes and these services may take priority over the remote operation
