Taking Pictures with different picture effects (Creative Control Mode)
Setting brightness (exposure)/blurriness of the background (Defocus
control function)
When [Exposure Dial] (→49) is set to [ON]

Rotate the Exposure Compensation dial to set the brightness
• You can set the exposure compensation value in the range between –3 EV and +3 EV.
• You can set the blurriness of the background with touch screen operations (below).
When [Exposure Dial] (→49) is set to [OFF]

Press the rear dial to display the setting screen
• The brightness (exposure) operation screen is displayed. Press [Fn1] to operate the defocus
control, and then press it again to finish the operation.

Rotate the rear dial to set
• Press [MENU/SET] to return to the recording screen.
When setting the brightness (exposure)
• You can set the exposure compensation value in the range
between –5 EV and +5 EV.
• Press
to set the Exposure Bracket. (→142)
OFF
When setting the background defocusing
• Pressing [Q.MENU/
] button will cancel the setting.

Drag the slide bar or exposure meter to set
• Press [MENU/SET] to return to the recording screen.

Defocus control operation is not available in [Miniature Effect] (Creative Control Mode).
