³All the features are only effective if speakers are used. No discernable effect will be heard through headphones.

³Dolby Digital is a discrete 5.1 (6) channel
surround system developed for cinema
use.
The sound signals in Dolby Digital format
are compressed to 1/10 their original
size, allowing an entire movie to be re-
corded on a single DVD.
³This unit automatically recognizes DVDs
that have been recorded with Dolby
Digital.
³Not all Dolby Digital sources are recorded
with 5.1 (6) channels.
Some sources marked Dolby Digital may
be recorded with 2 channels.
DVDs encoded with Dolby Digital can be
identified with this mark.
³This mode adds surround effects to
movie software that hasn’t been
recorded with the above system.
³In MOVIE mode you can adjust the
volume of the surround speakers to get
the best surround effect.
This mode adds surround effects to stereo
sources.
