E Cleaning Your Nebuliser Handset
WARNING
Your new nebuliser handset is not ready for use. You must clean your nebuliser handset before you use it for the
first time and after every use. You must also disinfect your nebuliser handset at the end of the treatment day.
Step E1 Disassemble the nebuliser handset and rinse
the aerosol head for about 5 seconds on each side
under warm running tap water (quality of drinking
water; about 37 °C or 98 °F, warm to the touch).
Note: Thorough rinsing of both sides of the aerosol
head helps to prevent clogging. Clogging may
increase nebulisation time. It is important to clean
the aerosol head immediately after each use.

Step E2 Rinse the opened nebuliser handset body (a),
the mouthpiece (b), the blue inspiratory
valve (c) and the medication cap (d) under warm
running tap water for about 5 seconds to remove
medication residue.

CAUTION
Do not touch the silver center part of the aerosol head.
Touching it may damage the membrane that generates the
aerosol.
