Reduced and extended menu
In the SPDgital drive, the parameters are of two basic classes: decimal parameters, that can be
adjusted in a range of real numerical values, characterised by the initial letters Pr, e.g. Pr3,
and Type bit parameters, that configure the drive or activate some functions that can only take
the values of 0 or 1 and are characterised by the initial letters Pb before the number, e.g. 40.0
When the SPD in the default status, only a limited number of parameters is displayed. These
parameters are the only ones needed in the applications where the SPD used in speed
adjustment, when the advanced performances of the converter are not to be used (for example,
if the SPD used with a numerical control or with an intelligent axis board).
To switch between the limited menu and the extended menu, enter b99.6: limited menu if
equal to 0, extended menu is 1. The extended menu offers access to all the parameters and
instructions of the pico-PLC, in addition to those specified above.
·
To change parameters, b99.7 must be set to zero (safety).
The parameters can be divided into blocks, based on their function:
Pr0 to Pr49
Pb99.6 to Pb99.15
Pr140 to Pr149
Main block parameters
General use
Functions/commands
Cam programmer
Pr50 to Pr70 Position loop
Pr71 to Pr99
Pr151 to Pr163
pico-PLC parameters
Pr100÷ Pr139,Pb150 Parameters used by the operating modes
In0 to In127 pico-PLC instructions
The various operating modes and the different functions are described in the following
parameters; chapter pico-PLC describes how to associate inputs/outputs to the converter
parameters. The units of measurement and the main resolutions of the parameters are:
Parameter type Unit Resolution
Speed Revolutions/minute 1
Acceleration Seconds/1000 revolutions/minute. 0,001
Position 4096 steps/revolution 1/4096 of a
revolution
Current % of the peak current of the converter 0.1
·
The parameters that can be used in the reduced menu are those in bold in column “Par.” of
the following summary tables;
·
In column “Type/Notes”, “R” means read only and “R/W” means both readable and
writable, “K” means software key-protected (Pb94.3); these parameters must be changed with
disabled drive. “M” means stored (Pb99.15). “L” means double.
·
The man Block parameters, common to all operating modes, have been divided into two
tables, one referring to the decimal parameters (Pr) and one referring to binary parameters
(Pb).
