Set the focus mode to MF, and turn the focusing ring to focus manually.
See page 15 for information about changing the focus mode.
Using the Quick-Shift Focus System

If the focus mode is set to autofocus, you can focus manually after autofocus is achieved.
Manually
turn the focusing ring to finely adjust the focus. You can do this without changing
the focus
mode to MF.
The Quick Shift Focus System is not available with the following lenses.
