CAUTION
When using the Quick-Shift Focus
System,
keep pressing the shutter release
button
(or AF button) after you achieve focus and before taking a picture.
If
you
let
go
of the
shutter release button before taking the picture, autofocus
will
operate again when you
press the shutter release
button again.
However, by configuring the camera's custom settings, you can take pictures without
autofocusing after letting go of the shutter
release button.
See
the camera operating
manual
for details about the setting procedure.
When focusing with
manual
focus or the Quick-Shift Focus
System,
the mechanism
allows
the focusing ring to rotate freely after
it is set to the
oo
(infinity) or the minimum
focus distance ends. However
do
not attempt to rotate it any farther than these ends
as this will
result in decreased performance.
