User management
The scanner supports two user roles: Level 1 (regular user) and Level 2 (administrator user).
User permissions for a regular user are:
• Loading, unloading racks and start scanning.
• View rack status, slide status and preview of the slide.
• Changing scan order and setting rack priority.
• Solving errors.
• View PIPS information and scanner information.
• Access the scanner remotely.
• Switching the scanner off.
In addition to the permissions above, administrator users have permission to:
• View the log file.
• Start a manual calibration.
• Solving system errors.
• Manage user accounts and user permissions.
• Configure security settings: set the access policy and the automatic log off time.
Administrator authorization rights are necessary to create a new user account and to edit or
delete a account.
Create a new user account

Open the Settings screen.
