2.13.2 RS232_INIT
Figure 2-18 RS232_INIT
The RS232_INIT function block is used to parameterize the serial interface. Following
successful parameterization, the RS232_SEND and RS232_RECEIVE blocks can be used.
The RS232_INIT block must be executed cyclically at least until parameterization has
finished.
The interface parameterization can be modified at any time. The modifications are applied
immediately.
The block is activated by setting the ENABLE input. On activation, the parameterization of
the serial interface is started.
On positive execution of the parameterization, the VALID output is set. In the event of errors
executing the parameterization, the ERROR and STATUS outputs are set accordingly.
Once ENABLE has been reset, the serial interface is parameterized again. The VALID
output is set to FALSE. The serial interface can again be used for IP address assignment or
working with Diag+.
