14 Advanced Roger Touchscreen Mic
network options
Roger technology enables the following advanced network
functions.
14.1 SubNet
Use this to speak separately to one or more students,
without disturbing the rest of the connected group, by
creating a temporary subnetwork.
Useful for: one-on-one instruction, small-group
instruction, repetition/reinforcement of instructions.
How to use it:
• Tap SubNet
• Tap Connect within 10 cm / 4” of receiver of each
required student
Talk into microphone as normal
To stop using SubNet (return to room’s existing
network):
• Tap Network
Either: student passes in front of Roger WallPilot
(optional accessory)
Or: tap Connect within 10 cm / 4” of each student’s
receiver
14.2 JoinNet
Use this to join another microphone’s network, without
interrupting the group, via any microphone or receiver in
that network.
Useful for: coteachers, teaching assistants.
How to use it:
Swipe screen left-right to locate JoinNet icon
• Tap JoinNet within 10 cm / 4” of Roger Touchscreen
Mic, receiver or WallPilot in desired network
