Table 2-1 Controls and Indicators
Item Contro! or Indicator Function
1 ANALYZE Pushbutton starts heart rhythm (ECG) analysis. Pushbutton
indicator LED is on during analysis.
2 CHARGE Momentary pushbutton starts defibrillator charge cycle.
Pushbutton indicator LED flashes while defibrillator is charging; it
remains on steadily when charge is reached.
3 SHOCK Pressing both pushbuttons discharges selected energy into patient.
4 TEST LOAD CONTACTS Connects the defibrillation electrodes to a 50£2 load in the
defibrillator for energy testing.
5 TEST LOAD SWITCH Signals the defibrillator that an energy test is pending.
