Transport

PCBs
Properly
Always
wear
a
conductive
wrist
strap
connected
to
the
mat
and
to
ground
except
when
working
on
energized
equipment
or
when
discharging
high
voltage
circuits.
The
strap
must
be
snug
enough
to
make
good
contact
against
bare
skin.
Transport
and
store
PCBs
in
anti-static
racks
or
inside
conductive
bags.
Label
the
package
containing
the
PCBs
as
static-sensitive.
Keep
Work
Area
Keep
static-generating
products
such
as
styrofoam
cups
or
trays
away
Static-Free
from
the
work
area.
Connect
all
electrical
equipment
such
as
soldering
irons
and
test
equipment
to
ground
through
a
three-prong
plug.
Test
Work
Area
Test
all
the
anti-static
parts
of
the
work
area
(mat,
straps,
cables)
Routinely
routinely.
Keep
a
log
of
the
test
results.
Disassembly
The
following
procedures
provice
a
logical
sequence
for
disassembling

Removal
the
major
components
of
the
Shock Advisory
Adapter.
Separate
or
disassemble
only
to
the
extent
required.
Parenthetical
numbers
refer
to
item
numbers
in
the
final
assembly
parts
list
(beginning
on
page
5—4) and
Figure
5-1.
1.
Lay
the
Shock
Advisory
Adapter
face
down
on
a
work
surface
with
the
five
cover
screws
visible.
Remove
the
five
screws
(19).
2.
Separate
the
Rear
Case
(4)
by
lifting
it
straight
up,
freeing
it
from
the
High
Voltage
Connector
Plug.
After
separating
the
cases:
1.
Remove
the
High
Voltage
Connector
Plug
by
disconnecting
J7
and
J5.
2.
Free
the
SAS
Adapter
PCB
Assembly
by
disconnecting
J4
and
J1.
