cleaning procedure or protocol.
e Do not immerse or soak cable or device.
e Do not use bleach, bleach dilution, isopropyl alcohol, or phenolic
compounds.
© Do not steam or gas sterilize.
e Do not autoclave this device or accessories unless otherwise
specified.
Shock or fire hazard. Do not immerse any portion of this
device in water or other fluids. Avoid spilling any fluids on
device or accessories.
Follow disassembly procedures (beginning on page 4-2) to access
instrument interior.
Chemical fire hazard. Observe shop safety and fire precautions.
Store solvents and solvent-soaked rags in approved containers.
Refer to manufacturers instructions on containers for recommended
firefighting procedures. Keep firefighting equipment available.
Personal safety hazard. Ventilate work area when using
solvents. Observe manufacturer warnings regarding personnel
safety and emergency first aid. Keep first aid equipment available
when using chemicals.
Avoid component damage. Use SSD handling procedures when
working on static sensitive devices (SSDs).
Avoid damaging components. Do not use chemicals or ATTENTION
solvents to clean transformers or inductors. To do so may remove
varnish from the wire coils rendering the component useless.
Solvents neutralize adhesives resulting in tape separation from the
windings.
1. Brush surfaces and parts with a nonmetallic soft-bristle brush.
Remove loosened dirt and dust using dry low-pressure compressed air
(60 psi) or a vacuum cleaner.
2. Wipe metal surfaces with a soft, nonabrasive cloth dampened with
isopropyl alcohol.
