PIP-Leakage Current
Perform an ac leakage check using a safety analyzer with the adapter
installed in the LIFEPAK 9 defibrillator/monitor. Check leakage current
in accordance with the following standards: AAMI/ANSI (Association
for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation/American National
Standards Institute) ES1-1985, AAMI/ANSI DF2-1989, CSA (Canadian
Standards Association) C22.2, IEC (International Electrotechnical
Commission) 601-1, IEC 601-2-4, and UL (Underwriters
Laboratories) 544.
1. Lead Source Current (Patient Cable): 201A or less
2. Lead Sink Current (Patient Cable): 20LA or less
3. Defibrillation Cable sink current: 100pA or less (typically 551A)
