TCP-Charge Time 1. With the instrument power off, install the Shock Advisory Adapter or
Defibrillation Adapter.
2. Attach the test paddles to the defibrillation cable and secure the
paddles to the energy meter.
Press the defibrillator ON pushbutton.
Press W ENERGY SELECT A to set the selected energy to 3601.
Simultaneously start the timer and press CHARGE.
Stop the timer when the defibrillator reaches full charge. Confirm
that the time required to reach full charge is less than 10 seconds.

7. Simultaneously press both adapter discharge pushbuttons to transfer
the energy into the test load.
TCP-Output Waveform 1. With the instrument power off, install the Shock Advisory Adapter or
Defibrillation Adapter.
2. Attach the test paddles to the defibrillation cable and secure the
paddles to the energy meter. Place the APEX paddle on the right
electrode of the energy meter so that the pulse polarity is positive.
3. Connect the storage oscilloscope to the energy meter signal output.
4. Set up the oscilloscope for the “single shot” acquisition mode for the
pulse waveform capture. Refer to the Operating Instructions for the
oscilloscope for assistance. For waveform parameter measurement,
place both the left and right measurement markers at both the 50%
and 10% levels.
5. Press the defibrillator ON pushbutton.
6. Press W ENERGY SELECT A to select 360J.
7. Press CHARGE.
