5. Connect and tighten the black (negative) cable last.
6. Verify that cables are properly routed and reinstall
the body panel above the footwell.
Spark Plug Service
1. Remove the driver’s seat and disconnect the (-)
negative battery cable from the battery.
WARNING
A hot exhaust system and engine can cause serious
burns. Allow engine to cool or wear protective gloves
when removing the spark plugs.
2. Clean top of engine to remove all dirt and debris.
3. Remove the spark plug wire from the engine.
NOTE: Image For Reference Only.
4. Remove spark plug.
5. Inspect electrodes for wear and carbon buildup. Look
for a sharp outer edge with no rounding or erosion of
the electrodes.
6. Clean with electrical contact cleaner only.
