Service Utilities Menu - Option 2 - Injector Information
W ARNING
Always replace faulty fuel injectors with service injectors. Never use fuel injectors from other DIt water-
craft, or change the order of the injectors on the engine, i.e. switching the PTO injector with the MAG
injector. Failure to adhere to this warning could cause serious engine damage.
NOTE: Each fuel injector’s serial number and flow characteristics are loaded into the EMM during production.
This means that there is an unique relationship between the engine’s EMM and its fuel injectors. Although the
DIt Diagnostic software is compatible with 1999 Polaris Genesis DIt watercraft, the DIt diagnostic software
will not be able to perform the functions contained in this section on 1999 Polaris Genesis DIt watercraft.
The injector Information option allows the user to view the
serial numbers given to each injector at the time of produc-
tion. The screen displays each injector and indicates which
serial number belongs in each cylinder. When servicing a
2000 and later Polaris DIt, always verify that each injector
is in its correct cylinder .
Replacing Injectors / 2000 and later DIt Models
NOTE: You do not need to be running the diagnostic software when installing a new injector, but you
must have the communication cable, lanyard and power jumper installed.
1. Replace faulty injector with a new injector, PN 2201875 or PN 2202190.
2. Insert the disk supplied with the injector into your laptop. Click on the START menu tab, then RUN. Type in the
box the following: A:\GO
3. The disc will ask you which cylinder’s injector to replace. Type the number, and the injector will be replaced.
To reverse a replaced injector, follow step two. Instead of replacing the same injector, the software will revert
back to the old injector serial number. Verify the serial numbers on the injector and laptop screen prior to
operating the watercraft.
NOTE: The injector installation disc transfers the replacement injector’s map to the EMM, while at the same time,
copies the defective injector’s map to the disc. Because of this, you can always reverse the process if a mistake
is made.
W ARNING
Verify the part number etched on the injector housing with the part number listed for the engine. Serious engine
damage may occur if the incorrect fuel injector is installed on the engine.
