Customize Your Phone
This section explains how to customize your phone’s touchscreen display so that it is unique to you. Basic
customizations include changing the time and date format and updating the screen brightness. You can
also set up a screen saver or use your phone as a digital picture frame.

Set the Language
Your phone supports several languages that you can choose to display.
To change the language:
1 Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Language.
On VVX 1500 phones, select Menu > Settings > Basic > Preferences > Language.
2 From the Language screen, select a language.
The language on your phone updates automatically.
Set the Time and Date Display
The time and date display in the status bar. When your phone cannot obtain a time and date, the time
and date display flashes. If this happens, or if the time and date are incorrect, contact your system
administrator.
The following figure shows the default format for the time and date.
You can customize the time and date by choosing between a variety of time and date formats, including
options to display the day, month, or year, or by turning the time and date display off, so that they do not
display at all.
