To connect the Wi-Fi adapter to the VVX phone:
1 Disconnect any wireless connection to the router and/or remove the Ethernet cable currently
connected to the computer.
You can restore the connection after the adapter installation is complete.
2 Connect the adapter to your computer using the Ethernet cable and USB cable. If your computer
does not have a USB port, you can use the power adapter that comes with the Wi-Fi adapter for
power.
3 Wait until both the Power and LAN LEDs on the Wi-Fi adapter are solid green.
4 Make sure the computer gets the IP address.
5 Open your browser.
The NETGEAR WNCE2001 Wi-Fi adapter setup page display automatically. Refer to the
Troubleshooting section of the NETGEAR WNCE2001 User Guide if you open your browser and do
not see the WNCE2001 Wi-Fi Adapter set up page.
6 Follow the instructions on the setup page.
7 After completing the setup, go to Step 6.
8 Disconnect the Ethernet and USB cables from your computer.
9 Connect the Ethernet and USB cables on the WNCE2001 to the VVX phone.
If your VVX phone doesn’t have a USB port (VVX 300/310 or 400/410) or the USB port is disabled
(VVX 500, 600, or 1500), you can use the power adapter that comes with the Wi-Fi adapter to
power the unit.
Your installation is now complete.
