Procedure 7.15 - Replacing the Secondary Drive Belt
1. For C842, C842i, C846i and C846 version 2 units, skip to step 11. For C846 version 1 units,
continue with step 2.
2. Set the on/off switch in the off position.
3. Remove the left hand cover per Procedure 7.1.
4. Loosen the upper and lower alternator mounting bolts and rotate the alternator so that tens
5. rotate the secondary pulley and guide the secondary drive belt off of the secondary pulley.

6. Remove the secondary drive belt.
7. Set the replacement secondary drive around the alternator pulley and the upper half of the
secondary pulley. Slowly rotate the secondary pulley and guide the secondary drive belt
onto the secondary pulley.
8. Re-tension the secondary drive belt per Procedure 5.2.
9. Check the cycle’s operation per Section 4.
