Replacing the engine air filter

1. Park the vehicle on level ground and turn the key in the ignition switch to the off position.
2. Remove the right side cowling panel.
3. Open the 6 clips retaining the cover of the air filter housing.
4. Remove the housing cover. Remove both filter cartridges.
Verifiy
the filters are dry or wet. A wet filter will create restriction in the air flow and potential
problems to the turbo and exhaust system.
5. Discard the top conical (secondary) cartridge.
6. Clean or replace the rectangular (primary) cartridge, as required.
7. Thoroughly clean and inspect the interior surfaces of the filter housing and of the cover. Repair
any damage.
8. Install the new secondary cartridge.
9. Install the primary cartridge.
10. Install the cover and close the retaining clips.
11. Re-install the right side cowling panel.
