■ Once
the bowl is full, hold the switch for 30 s to fill the other filters and lines (fuel pressure can be
seen on the display in the cab, pressure must raise to 2 bar minimum otherwise there is still air
bubbles in the system);
■ Wait one minute and hold the switch a second time for 30 s;
■ Wait one minute and hold the switch a third time for 30 s;
■ Start the diesel engine.
When starting, do not crank for more than 20 s as this could cause permanent damage to engine com-
ponents.
If the engine fails to start, wait two minutes before cranking again. Before making an other try, investi-
gate for a possible problem. Check the display in the cab to see if a diagnostic or event code helps to
pinpoint the problem.
When the system is properly purged, the fuel pressure should reach 2 bar within 5 s of the switch acti-
vation. If it takes 10 s or more, air could still be trapped in the system.
