• REPLACING THE COMPRESSION TUBE ON THE PERISTALTIC PUMP
• WARNING:
As there is a high risk of acid splashing or leaking
out, safety glasses, gloves and protective clothing
should be worn.
1. Isolate the by-pass loop on which the cell is
mounted by completely closing the shut-off
valves at the loop inlet and outlet.
2. Rinse the pump tubing as follows to remove acid:
3. Disconnect the acid suction tube from the blue
connector on the pump.
4. Remove the transparent splash guard.
5. Unclip the two side tabs of the shield, but leave
the tab at the top in place.
6. Carefully disconnect the acid injection tube from
the injector nipple.
7. Lift the blue connector to pull it out of its housing
in the pump body.
8. Pull on the blue end piece of the tube to remove
it from the roller wheel.
9. Switch the pump back on fro a few seconds, this
will help feed the replacement tube around the
roller wheel.
10. Put the blue end piece back in position.
11. Redo the connections (connection to the injection
rod, acid suction tube to the blue end piece and
in the acid buffer tank) and put everything back
in place (transparent splash guard, etc.) and
reopen the by-pass valves.
12. Run the pump for 20 minutes to evacuate
any air from the circuit.

of the acid buffer tank and immerse it into a
bucket of water.
