What to do if my Quantech QTC3040T has no display on the panel and won't operate?
    • C
      Chad BurgessAug 7, 2025
If your Quantech Chiller's panel has no display and the unit won't operate, there could be several reasons: 1. There may be no 115 VAC to the 24 VAC Transformer. In this case, check the wiring and fuse 1FU. 2. There may be no 24 VAC to the Microboard. Check the wiring from the Control Transformer to the Microboard. 3. The Control Transformer might be defective, with no 24 VAC output. If so, replace the Control Transformer. 4. There could be a short in the wire to the temperature sensors or pressure transducers. To isolate this, unplug the connections at the IPU II & I/O Board. 5. The IPU II & I/O Board or the Display Board might be defective. Contact Quantech Service before replacing circuit Boards!

    • R
      Robert JensenAug 22, 2025

Repair the leak if necessary and add refrigerant. 3. Fouled filter dryer. Change the dryer/core. 4. Defective TXV. Replace the TXV. 5. Reduced flow of chilled liquid through the cooler. Check GPM, check operation of pump, clean pump strainer, purge chilled liquid system of air. 6. Defective suction pressure transducer/low pressure switch or wiring. Replace transducer/low pressure switch or faulty switch or wiring. 7. Defective LLSV. Replace the LLSV.

How to fix a Flow Switch/Remote Stop no run permissive on Quantech QTC3040T?
    • J
      Jared MedinaAug 29, 2025
If your Quantech Chiller displays a Flow Switch/Remote Stop no run permissive, consider these potential causes: 1. There may be no chilled liquid flow. Check the chilled liquid flow. 2. The flow switch might be improperly installed. Ensure the flow switch is installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 3. The flow switch itself could be defective. Replace the flow switch. 4. The remote cycling device might be open. Check cycling devices connected to terminals 13 and 14 of the XTBC1 Terminal Block.
