Step Procedure Description
Step 17 The Internet Protocol Properties (TCP/IP)
dialog box lets you change the SDS
configuration so that it can operate in its
permanent location.
Select one of the following options:
¾ Use the following static IP address.
¾ Obtain an IP address automatically
from the DHCP server.
If you are not sure of the configuration
parameters, consult your system
administrator.
Note: For reliable operation, we recommend
a static IP address.
Continue with □ Step 18.
Go to □ Step 19.
Step 18 Key in any necessary changes to the:
¾ IP address,
¾ Subnet mask, and
¾ Default gateway.
If you are not sure of the configuration
parameters, consult your system
administrator for the specific
parameters.
Step 19 Press Send to send your changes to the
SDS.
The Restart confirmation pop-up box
displays.
Continue with □ Step 20.
Figure 15 shows the current
configuration parameters for
the SDS. You can change these
parameters by keying in the
desired values.
