Project: Public Park
Project Description:
The table indicates the type of water flow which may be expected based on the use of
some common sprinkler head types.
The greatest water volume demand is the large area rotors and would require a Main Line
pipe size of two (2) inches. The controller supports this as a standard pipe/flow sensor size
(PIPE 2.00); please refer to B APPENDIX – FLOW SENSOR PART LIST.
The flow metering device and Normally Closed Master Valve will be installed on the
Main Water Line.
The following new features are added to our example:
1. The installation will include the use of a Normally Closed Master Valve. The
controller will open the Master Valve at the start of any irrigation program.
2. The installation will include the use of a flow monitoring sensor. The controller will
monitor the flow of water during programmed irrigation cycles and display the
combined flow of all stations operating. Any above limit water flow will be detected
and the controller will shut down irrigation and alert you to the problem.
3. The installation will include the use of a Rain Sensor. If rain is detected the RME
EAGLE will automatically turn-off irrigation. Once the rain storm is over, and the
sensor has dried out, the controller will automatically restart the irrigation programs.
